How can I block messages from a specific address?
If you want to block emails from a particular sender, follow these steps:
Blocking messages for email accounts on cPanel
- Log into cPanel and go to:
- If you want to block messages from a specific address for all accounts, go to Email > Global Email Filters
- If you want to block messages from a specific address for one account, go to Email > Email Filters and click the ‘Manage Filters’ link next to the account you want to block messages for
- Click the Create New Filter button
- Enter a name for your filter, and under the Rules section, choose From and equals in the drop-down menus
- Beneath the drop-down menus, still under the Rules section, enter the email address you want to block messages from
- In the Actions section, use the drop-down menu to choose what you want to do with incoming messages from the address you entered in the previous step
- Click the Create button to add the filter and block messages from that email address
Blocking messages for email accounts on Plesk
- Log into Plesk
- Go to Mail and click on the email address for which you want to block messages to
- Select the Spam Filter tab
- Click + Show Advanced Settings on the bottom left-hand corner
- Enter the email address you would like to block messages from to the Black List section
- Scroll down and click the OK button to save the changes
